An Evening of Worship and Unity: Declaration Worship, Chosen Road, and Phillips, Craig & Dean

There are some nights that carry more weight than others, nights when you can almost feel Heaven drawing near. September 13th was one of those nights.

What was originally planned as an evening of worship with Declaration Worship, Chosen Road, and gospel music legends Phillips, Craig & Dean became something deeper—a gathering of God’s people in the midst of national heartbreak. Only days earlier, the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk had shaken believers across the country. Hearts were heavy, and yet there was this undeniable pull to come together, to pray, to sing, and to remember that even in darkness, light still shines.

From the first chord to the final amen, you could sense the yearning of God’s people. Declaration Worship opened the night, setting a tone of surrender and expectation. Chosen Road followed with songs that echoed the faith and resilience of the Appalachian church, simple, honest, and rooted in the hope of Christ. When Phillips, Craig & Dean took the stage, decades of ministry met the present moment in a way only the Spirit could orchestrate.

There were tears. There was laughter. There were hands lifted high and hearts laid low before the Lord. It wasn’t just a concert, it was a reminder that no matter what happens in this world, God is still sovereign, and His church is still alive.

From behind my camera that night, I saw unity. I saw faces reflecting both grief and glory. And I was reminded that worship is not confined to the mountaintop moments. It is often found in the valleys, where faith becomes real and hope becomes our anchor.

It was, without a doubt, a wonderful night of worship—one that reminded us all that even when the world feels heavy, the presence of God is still stronger than the pain.

As someone who has lived the life of a musician, worked behind the scenes on countless successful events, and married a musician who now leads and hosts his own, I understand how important it is to have someone behind the camera who truly “gets it.” The flow of the night, the unspoken transitions, and the moments that take your breath away can’t be staged—they have to be felt. If your church or ministry is planning a special night of worship or community gathering, I’d love to help you preserve those moments through photography. It’s always an honor to tell the story of how God moves among His people through my lens.
