The first principle of lifestyle photography is patience: in the search for the perfect location, in the process of acclimating your family to the experience of being photographed, in capturing memorable moments.
I specialize in collaborating with families to discover captivating locations that naturally evoke enchanting and whimsical elements, perfect for creating timeless photographs. By carefully selecting these stunning backdrops, together we can capture moments imbued with charm and magic, ensuring your family photos are not only visually stunning but also tell a story filled with warmth and emotion.
Where will my photo shoot take place?
Shoot locations are based on a few factors: where you live, where you want the shoot to take place, the weather, the time of year, and your family. We will work together to find a great place to complete your shoot. My goal is to find a location that has natural light that allows us to shoot an organic and enjoyable experience.
What does a photo shoot look like?
Photo shoots typically last 1-2 hours and locations are decided with the client. A photoshoot oftentimes consists of 1 or 2 locations. I am willing to travel, but that part must be discussed and agreed upon. Each photo shoot is unique because each person I work with is unique. Your brand might be serious while another is more jovial. We usually start by walking around and taking candid shots before returning to places we especially like and taking more posed shots. Again, each shoot is different, but generally, this is how I like to work with my clients.
What happens after a photoshoot?
After completing the shoot, your project will be added to my editing queue. I work to get projects out as fast as I can, but editing is the most labor-intensive part of the process. Please be patient as I work to create as many quality photos as I can. Some photographers like to give only a dozen or so photographs. That’s not me. You will receive often over a hundred images to share with your family in Hi-Resolution. I utilize a service that allows me to send you a portfolio page that includes a download link. Your photos will remain on that site for 60 days. After that, the link will no longer be valid.
