All the Seasons of motherhood - A mother’s Day reflection
This year’s Mother’s Day sessions were more than just photoshoots. They were stories—told in quiet glances, tiny hands held tight, and laughter that filled the spring air.
When I dreamed up these sessions, I had a vision: to capture the beauty of motherhood in every season. And I mean everyseason—from first-time mamas holding their babies close, to grandmothers wrapping their arms around grown children and grandchildren.
There was a tenderness in the way new mothers looked at their babies. That brand-new love—the kind that changes everything and yet somehow feels like it’s always been there. I saw it in the way they swayed without realizing, the way their voices softened as they spoke.
And then there were the families that spanned three generations. The quiet strength of grandmothers who have walked this path before, watching their daughters raise children of their own. Those sessions brought tears to my eyes more than once. It’s rare and beautiful to witness that kind of legacy—rooted in love, sacrifice, and time.
Every family reminded me that motherhood isn’t one moment. It’s a collection of them.
A giggle in a patch of sunlight.
A kiss on the forehead.
A whispered “I love you.”
A knowing smile from across the frame.
What I hoped to do was create space for mothers to be seen, celebrated, and remembered just as they are in this moment—because it passes so quickly.
To each of the families who trusted me with your memories, thank you. These images will forever hold a piece of your story, and I am so honored to have been a part of it.
Until next year… 💛
